Who runs this website

This website is run by Kevin Riley, trading as Kevin Riley Sheet Music, in the United Kingdom. You can email me at klscj@me.com or call 07853 277599. The current contact details are always on the contact page.

What this website collects, and why

The contact form

When you send a message through the contact form, the website collects your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, and your message. It stores the message on the website and emails it to me, so that I can reply. I keep it until I delete it.

Orders from the shop

When you buy something from the shop, the website collects your name, your email address, your phone number if it is asked for, your delivery address, what you ordered and any note you add. I use these to post your order, to send you emails about it and to keep the records the law asks a business to keep. Payment is taken by Stripe: your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach this website or me. Stripe tells me that a payment has been made and gives me the details I need to match it to your order.

Who looks after the data

This website is hosted for me in the United Kingdom by British Web Design, who process this data on my behalf and deliver the website's email. They do not use it for anything else.

Cookies

The website sets two cookies that every visitor needs: a session cookie, which keeps the website working as you move from page to page, and a security cookie, which protects the forms from being misused. If you put something in the basket, a basket cookie remembers it for up to 30 days, so it is still there when you come back. The website's own visitor counts are cookieless: they do not set a cookie or identify you.

If I switch on Google Analytics or advertising tags in the future, a banner will ask you first, and nothing from them is set until you accept. Your answer is remembered in your browser.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR) you can ask me for a copy of the data I hold about you, ask me to correct it or delete it, and object to how I use it. Email me and I will reply. If you are unhappy with how your data has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

I may change this policy from time to time. When I do, the date at the top of the page changes too.
